Meet the Stars – Demonique Deluxe
Demonique Deluxe plays the role of “Vengeful Post-Apocalyptic Witchy Type On Skates” in MurderDrome.
Deluxe was a co-founder of the Geelong Roller Derby League, helping the league to grow to where it is today. She retired last year not long after breaking a wrist during a bout shown live to air on the 7pm project. You can check out the footage in the video below, and we’d just like to add that she’s so hardcore about it she just decides to wander over to the medics herself instead of letting them come over to help. Faith in Chaos
Tonight’s shoot went the way of all flesh.
One of life’s unexpected emergencies dragged the producer with our lights and special effects rigs suddenly, and unavoidably, to Bairnsdale. Making the planned chopping and seeing people in the dark thing impossible. The proverbial plug had to be pulled. It’s a little bit like almost having sex, so I hear at any rate (sex is a bit like the Harry Potter franchise, everyone else seems to know all about it but somehow I’ve missed every installment).
It’s not the first schedule reshuffle and quite likely it won’t be the last, that’s the nature of the beast (if anyone asks what the hardest thing in film is the answer is scheduling, no one who has ever tried will nay-say you, trust me on this). BUT it is the first time I’ve suddenly had nothing much to do since shooting began approximately eight million years ago.
Except of course my tiny little home is a bomb site and could use some TLC of a vacuum, mop type nature. Why you ask? Because (despite knowing better) it has been our unit base for shooting in the streets. See this, this was my place… (more…)

August 5th, 2011. Melbourne, Victoria, Australia: Strongman Pictures Entertainment today announced that principal photography for the roller derby slasher, MurderDrome, has begun in Melbourne.
Like any good roller derby player Cherry Skye wears her undies on the outside and her panties on her head. It’s no wonder she’s caught the eye of spunky Brad Blunt. Unfortunately she’s also earned the ire of Brad’s ex, Hell Grazer, a girl born to win and ready to skate over anything in her path to get what she wants.
When romantic rivalries flare up the conflict rolls onto the streets and awakens the malevolent demon-spirit of a murderess. Suddenly Skye is sprinting towards the MurderDrome at breakneck speed, pursued by supernatural evil and the wrath of a lover scorned.
